To support of SMU’s initiative of promoting Blended & Personalized Learning, an interactive online DLR on Financial Statement Analysis is developed. It is a self-paced digital resource developed for students taking fundamental accounting courses. Through animations, close captions, interactive visuals, and self-check quizzes, students learn about (i) the nature and purpose of conducting financial statement analysis, (ii) practice using different tools for analysis (i.e. horizontal analysis, vertical analysis, and ratio analysis), and (iii) learn how to identify warning signals which emerge in the course of analysis. 

It can be conveniently adapted by other education institutions as the link to the DLR: https://apps.cte.smu.edu.sg/financial-statement can be accessed by anyone using any electronic device. In addition, it is also applicable for both undergraduate as well as graduate students who are taking the first accounting course.
