The SMU (Singapore Management University) Challenge is a digital simulation game that aims to help students gain a firmer grasp of concepts that had been taught in class earlier. It was formerly known as Accounting Challenge.

Upon launching the game and signing in, players have to choose which topic they want to attempt. As at May 2021, the three topics covered are Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and Audit and Assurance.

Upon selecting a topic, they have to opt for the mode they wish to play the game in – Normal or Challenge – by clicking on the relevant button on the screen. The Normal mode is for those seeking a single-player experience, while Challenge is for those who wish to challenge another player. At the end of the game, players who opted for Challenge have to provide the email address of the competitor. After that, the latter will receive a prompt to play the game by attempting the same set of questions as that of the original challenger. The app will notify the eventual winner of his or her victory.Players must also choose the difficulty level of the questions by clicking on the number of stars under the “Difficulty” heading before starting the game. The greater the number of stars, the higher the difficulty level will be.
