The session should take around 10 minutes to teach as planned. By the end of the session, students should be able to describe possible uses and applications of hashtagging and tagging features on the Instagram platform and compare the potential impacts of effective and ineffective tagging. Students should also be able to produce hashtags to accomplish a specific goal (e.g. personal, marketing, news dissemination, networking, etc.) by the end of the session. The lesson plan outline and slideshow (including presenter comments) should provide a robust introduction to the organizational applications of social tagging for students at the high school level and above.
