This Java applet is a demonstration in magnetostatics that graphically displays the magnetic field for a vast array of 3-dimensional current distributions. The user can choose the field lines to be either a velocity field (where the particles move along the field lines) or a force field (where the particles move as if they were tiny little magnets). The view can be one of the particles moving with a fixed velocity (with and without the magnetic potential), magnetic field vectors (with and without the magnetic potential), field lines, magnetic parts, and magnetic film. The view can be 3-dimensional or from the X, Y, or Z direction separately. Many variables can be changed such as the field strength, field line density, number of particles, geometric size of loops, separation distance between loops, strength and direction of an external field, etc.
