This applet provides 3D models of electric fields. It opens as two windows. One window is for the applet and the other contains full instructions on how to use the applet, source code, German version, and links to other simulations. This applet is a demonstration in electrostatics that graphically displays the electric field for a vast array of 3-dimensional charge distributions. The user can choose the field lines to be either velocity or force field lines. The vector, field, or equipontential lines can be displayed as well. Many other options are available to change such as the field strength, number of particles, and charge separation. The view can be 3-dimensional or from the X, Y, or Z direction separately.
