More than 300 colleges and universities worldwide have successfully used NWEI’s discussion course books to strengthen academic communities and foster learning about sustainability, both in and out of the classroom. Designed to facilitate small group discussion amongst faculty, students or staff, the course books include a variety of perspectives on sustainability from thought leaders, with discussion questions that encourage critical thinking. NWEI courses are sparking shared learning, shared stories, and shared action in a wide variety of campus-based settings—from first-year to graduate level classes, with community-based learning initiatives, in residence halls and learning communities, as professional development for faculty and staff, and in other campus-wide programs.
