I am not really convinced this application will increase student's understanding of abstract cyclic groups, but I think it could. At the least, it does provide a visualization for modular arithmetic, which is certainly a plus. Unfortunately, the application seems to be only usable as a downloadable .exe file. This seems like a poor choice for education as many schools with have IT restrictions to opening .exe files, which make this app useless to the students who need to use it. As such, a web version would be better.

On this site it teaches students how to make shapes within a circle. It gives an example of a sixteen point circle, it illistrates steps, and also provides downloads to print your own blank circles to try on your own. This site also has a section for students, it provides math buddies that you can communicate with through e-mail. I would recomend this site for students who are struggling and seeking support.
