School leadership continues to be an area of focus particularly as it relates to teacher burn-out and teacher turnover (National Commission on Teaching & America’s Future, 2012). As a result, researchers have placed focus on leadership-theory application and the influence of leadership style on students, teachers, and schools (Afshari, Bakar, Luan, & Siraj, 2012; Angelle, 2010; Meirovich, 2012). This paper will explore the relationship between school-principal servant-leadership and teacher empowerment. Findings of significant positive relationships would provide new information to school leadership educators regarding the value of servant leadership in effective school leadership.
