SimPsyber is a computerized simulation game that aims to improve students’ understanding of modern software development practices and DevOps metrics. In this game, the player should manage a project related to the development of a ridesharing app that matches drivers and passengers for the ride-hailing service. They should prioritize and assign appropriate team members to develop different features and deploy them to production to deliver values to their users and generate revenue. During the game, the players should also handle defects and adopt software development practices for improving the deployment pipeline to decrease the features’ lead time, reduce deployment failure, improve service availability, and increase user satisfaction. As a result, students can become more familiar with the agile methods and DevOps culture through playing the game.
