Evaluating Technology-Based Curriculum Marterials

This is an ERIC article which describes methods of evaluating curriculum-based software items. Several criteria include realism, applicability of the subject, ease of use, and presentation. The main topics are as follows: Authenticity, Constructivism, and Content. Many simulations lack application to the subject material, for example a software item where the lesson is clearly lost in the entertaining graphics. This article would be an effective framework for developing individual criteria.
