The Nanotech Academy Activity B: Scavenger Hunt

The Nanotech Academy Activity B: Scavenger Hunt

This lesson plan from the Nanotechnology Applications and Career Knowledge (NACK) Center serves as an introductory exercise to get high school students excited about participating in classroom laboratory activities. The students form small groups and work with GPS units and local maps, charting a course toward a predetermined point. The activity should take between 45 minutes and one hour and will help students build skills including using GPS technology and reading maps as well as improving their communication and teamwork skills. This and all other resources from the NACK Center require a fast, easy, free log-in.
