Created by Lang Moore of the Connected Curriculum Project, the purpose of this module is to provide a qualitative introduction to a simple second-order linear partial differential equation. In this module we will concentrate on graphical representations of the solutions of appropriate initial and boundary value problems; we examine symbolic solutions in other modules. This is one lesson within a larger set of learning modules hosted by Duke University.
