Material Detail
Homo floresiensis
In 2004, a human-like species was discovered on Flores Island. She was approximately 3-feet tall, with a small face and teeth, and the ability to walk on two-legs. This website provides links to five articles from Nature which discuss the immense impact the discovery of Homo floresiensis has had and will have on anthropology and the way we look at human evolution. The website also has a link to a slideshow by Sonia Clayton, Deanne Erdmann, and Nancy Moreno. The speakers notes are included and it provides a more in-depth background of Homo floresiensis.
