Esperanza Rising - What Do Chapter Titles Tell a Reader?

Using the book Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan, students will complete a graphic organizer and identify the main idea of each chapter as well as words and phrases from each chapter that give meaning to the chapter. Once students have identified the main idea they will create a new title for each chapter.
