Material Detail
Effective Organization and Communication
This learning activity from The Mechatronics Education Center's Project SHINE develops students' interpersonal, leadership and communication skills. The lesson asks students to take part in a local blood drive and make telephone calls to set up donor appointments. The entire process will teach students how such an event is planned, organized and executed. In particular, students will learn how to sound professional over the phone and in person. The activity requires about ten 50-minute class periods to organize and is intended for use as a long-term class project.
