A Longitudinal Study of Undergraduate Women in Engineering and Science

In this longitudinal study at the University of Washington, the retention of women in science and engineering is examined. This report covers the sixth year of the study in which the focus is on six cohorts of one hundred students each. The objectives are to "determine a more accurate measure of retention by tracking individual students through their science and engineering academic career," "examine the factors affecting retention of females in science and engineering" and "increase the retention rates of female students pursuing degrees in science and engineering."
