In this lesson from Math Machines, students will "calculate gravitational and elastic potential energies and use these calculations to predict the work required from a robot." The class will use a robot equipped with position and force sensors to complete various tasks. A participant handout (including worksheets), facilitator notes and details for programmers are made available for download in DOC file format. Links to calculator programs are also included.
