Material Detail
High Exposure
This probability activity, created by faculty members at the University of Virginia, discusses the differences among various kinds of studies and which types of inferences can legitimately be drawn from each, as well as how sample statistics reflect the values of population parameters and use sampling distributions as the basis for informal inference. The authors structure their lesson plan in this fashion: probability topics, assumed prior experience, rationale, learning objectives, materials & technology needed, procedure, and assessment. This is a nice lesson plan for instructors looking for information on probability.
