Rock-fall Hazard Assessment of the Aspen Forest Trail, Navajo National Monument, Arizona

Wieczorek of the United States Geological Survey (USGS), this resource is an effort to assess the stability of a section of the Aspen Forest Trail to Betatakin Ruins, Navajo National Monument, Arizona, and to discuss methods of remediation and options for reopening the trail. This report includes a description and analysis of the discontinuities that affect slope stability along the trail and recommendations for access to Betatakin Ruins in consideration of the rock-fall hazards. A list of external references is also provided.
