Studio 121 integrates and contextualizes reading and writing strategies tailored to co-requisite ENG 121 coursework at Red Rocks Community College.  The course emphasizes reading and understanding complex materials and responding to ideas and information through writing informative and/or persuasive texts.  To take Studio 121, you must have a score of 70-94 on your ACCUPLACER Writing Skills test or successfully have completed ENG 060.    Unlike the typical ENG 090 class, this is a place where we will also expand upon and support much of what we’ll be doing in ENG 121.  It’s important, however, to recognize that Studio 121 is not ENG 121 down-sized.  During this time together, we’ll work on assignments based on ENG 121 curriculum, reading and writing skills, exercises, and workshops that are designed to help you be successful with all of your college coursework.
