ELEMENTARY SPANISH I (Credit, 3 hours). Introduction to elementary structures in the Spanish language. Emphasis on listening comprehension, pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and grammar structures necessary for developing oral proficiency skills.

Pedagogical Approach
This class is a Face-to-Face class. Students will explore written and oral Spanish through grammar and vocabulary exercises that incorporate speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Learning Outcomes
Students that finish/pass the class should understand the basics of the Spanish Language, which will allow them to move on to the second level of Spanish (101)
Assessment & Other Information
Assessment
Students will have quizzes and tests for each chapter. These will include a listening, reading and writing component. They will be tested on grammar, vocabulary and culture. They will also have homework/classwork, LiveText, Workbook exercises, as well as a Final exam.
