Topic 1: The Learning Sciences
The Learning Sciences are considered an interdisciplinary perspective which provide research and evidence-based results about how we learn. Contributions from various fields include but are not limited to anthropology, educational psychology, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, biology, child development, and linguistics. The focus of research in the Learning Sciences is learning: how do people learn, what resources and supports enable learning, and how do features of settings and contexts interact with the learning process?

- Apply solutions from the learning sciences perspective to the design and delivery of your courses and instructional materials.
- Examine specific research in the learning sciences that reduces barriers in the learning process.
