Hard and easy science

This video was recorded at RISC - research program / Rare Incidents, Strong Consequences. Using examples of the application of quantitative ideas in social science (hard sciences) and recalling some approaches to complex problems in natural science (easy sciences) we suggest a path to developing a fundamental foundation for the analysis of social problems. A roadmap of suggested strategies over a few decades with agreed on metrics of successful activities would give guidance to quantitative approaches to these hard scientific problems.
