mGuide - Rich Information Capture and Sharing in Mobile Contexts
This video was recorded at 8th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia. mGuide is a Web service and mobile application that incorporates location-based awareness into the user communication. It assists users in meeting at a particular location by enabling mobile users to exchange images and messages and to see each other's progress on a map. Journeys The user can record a journey through images, voice messages, and location displayed on maps. These journeys can be shared with others in real time or in retrospect, both through PCs and on the mobile devices. dClone dClone enables a user to maintain contact with another person through subtle, unobtrusive communications. The sender can compose a display of personal information from images, voice or text messages, and general online information such as local time or weather information. The recipient can choose to have the information displayed on a home screen at all times to be continuously connected and aware of the sender's experience.
