This video was recorded at COIN / ACTIVE Summer School on Advanced Technologies for Knowledge Intensive Networked Organizations, Aachen 2010. ACTIVE is an EU Integrating Project which involves 12 partners in 7 countries. ACTIVE is coordinated by BT and managed by Eurescom. The project duration is from March 2008 to February 2011. ACTITVE has 3 case studies: - telecoms - consultancy -electronics design. ACTIVE is using informal semantics and machine intelligence to: - combat information overload - support knowledge work processes - aid knowledge sharing. It is combining the low user-barriers of Web2.0 with the power of semantic technology. ACTIVE is being trialled in large-scale enterprise environments.
