The Cost of Interrupted Work: More Speed and Stress
This video was recorded at The 26th Annual CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems. Our study showed interrupted tasks are completed faster, with similar quality. We suggest that people compensate for interruptions by working faster, but at a price: higher stress, frustration, and pressure.
