Reactive Teaming for Game Characters
This video was recorded at 24th AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Atlanta 2010. Reactive teaming is a method for multi-agent coordination that uses layer transfer to share behavior between agents controlled by behavior-based subsumption controllers. The key advantage of reactive teaming is that it enables coordination between agents with very little overhead by making all assignment decisions locally between individual agents rather than globally across the team. This video describes the key mechanisms behind reactive teaming, and demonstrates how reactive teaming can be used to coordinate team behavior for video game characters.
