Material Detail

This is patient education material about heart disease. It included information about risk factors, causes, symptoms, medications and treatment. The site also includes descriptive black and white drawing of the heart, cross-sections of diseased vessels and a graphic of coronary bypasses. This is good introductory information for nursing students studying heart disease as well as literature for patients and families. The primary audience for the literature is the lay public, although usually health care professionals guide the patients and families in understanding the literature.
