LacusCurtius: Into the Roman World

LacusCurtius: Into the Roman World

Six Latin authors highlight this large collection of texts and photographs. The texts include the elder Pliny's Natural History (complete); Frontinus (with translation into English and French); Vitruvius; Quintus Curtius; Macrobius; secondary works include Platner's A Topographical Dictionary of Ancient Rome; William Smith's 1875 A Dictionary of Greek and Roman Antiquities. There is a large collection of Roman Inscriptions. Last but not least an immense collection of photographs taken by the site's author. The works are nicely divided by sections for ease of use. The majority of the pages within the site are in English, but the site includes pages in French, Italian, Spanish, and German.
