The Pseudo-Isochromatic Plates are a reliable and well-established tool for assessing color vision. The plates were clear, easy to administer, and provided consistent results that matched what we expected. My psychology students especially appreciated the practicality and straightforwardness of the test. This introduced a long conversation/dispute amongst my students about why their guess was correct. One constructive feedback they offered was that the test could feel more engaging and potentially more effective if it incorporated letters, shapes, and pictures alongside the traditional number plates. This addition could broaden accessibility and ensure that individuals of different ages and literacy levels, and those with learning differences, could be equally well assessed. Overall, we found the Pseudo-Isochromatic Plates to be a valuable and dependable method of testing color vision, and with a small expansion of stimuli, it could be even stronger. The content is accurate based on my expertise. There were no factual, grammatical, or typographical errors. My students found the interface navigable. This was the perfect in-class activity.
