Dave Leip's Atlas of U.S. Presidential Elections

Dave Leip's Atlas of U.S. Presidential Elections

This is a nice site to find results of US presidential elections since 1824. They are broken down by popular and electoral vote. Election results are mapped and voter turnout figures are provided.

Once you acclimate yourself to a world where blue means "Republican" and red means "Democrat," this atlas is brimming with up-to-date electoral information for U.S. presidential, gubernatorial, and senatorial races. Some of the more detailed results are not freely available, and the website's design is a bit dated, but for state- and county-level results there's no one better than Dave Leip. I use this site for my own research and would readily recommend it to my students who need the sorts of results it contains.
