CDE Science Standard for 8th Grade (EARTH IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM 4E) states that students must know the appearance, general composition, relative position and size, and motion of objects in the solar system, including planets, planetary satellites, comets, and asteroids. Having said that, welcome to the JPL solar system dynamics web site. This site provides information related to the orbits, physical characteristics, and discovery circumstances for most known natural bodies in orbit around our sun. Enjoy!
