Genome Bioinformatics

Genome Bioinformatics

This site contains the reference sequence and working draft assemblies for a large collection of genomes. It also provides a portal to the ENCODE project. You can browse genomes of a number of model organisms by chromosome--human, chimpanzee, rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, opossum, chicken, X tropicalis, zebrafish, tetraodon, and fugu. You can also do "in silico" PCR--In-Silico PCR searches a sequence database with a pair of PCR primers, using an indexing strategy for fast performance. The gene sorter displays a sorted table of genes that are related to one another. The relationship can be one of several types, including protein-level homology, similarity of gene expression profiles, or genomic proximity.
