Google Goggles allows you to use your phone to search the web for objects you see around you. Snap a photo of an object, book, landmark,  barcode, advertisement, logo, business card, ect. and Google's grid facial recognition technology will search its databases for possible matches to select from to provide you with more information about what you are looking at. The site I have chosen provides you a free download for Android devices, such as Samsung. Sony Ericsson, LG, Motorola,and others, but you can easily find other websites for a free download of Google Goggles for iPhone and iPad. Although Googles Goggles has been around for about six years, improvements in facial recognition software technology continue, such as MIT's facial recognition technology to read facial expressions to determine your mood and interest (biofeedback) to a business pitch. Together these emerging technologies represent a new way to search the Internet via phone, while at the same time determining your level of interest in so doing.
