This module is part of the Less Commonly Taught Languages Project of CARLA (Center for Research on Language Acquisition) at the University of Minnesota. It consist of a series of online listening exercises is designed to help students of Chinese improve their ability to understand authentic spoken Chinese in terms of both general and detailed comprehension of the target language. These exercises are based on a television play, include listening comprehension questions in Multiple Choice, Jumbled Sentences, Matching, and Cloze, and are developed for students from intermediate to advanced levels

I feel that this module is very good, which will definitely help learners improve their Chinese listening comprehension. This module features authentic listening materials. The video, which helps learners better understand the lesson, is also integrated into the audio very appropriately, given that it does not present an interference to learners' listening. In addition, through this module learners can learn traditional Chinese characters.

Technical Remarks:

This module is easy to navigate. I can easily move to the next lesson and go back to the previous lesson and so on. However, if the author presents a link that allows the learner to directly go to different lessons, instead of having to click the "back" button again and again, it will be much more helpful.
