E-text is textual information available in electronic format.  It can be read and interacted with on or by a computer.  It can also be converted into several accessible formats to meet students’ various needs, but conversion is time consuming and labor-intensive.  This site covers various e-text reading options such as DAISY, text-to-speech audio, Braille, and math reading options; how to get e-texts from outside sources; and how to convert textbooks to e-texts.  From Colorado State University ACCESS.
