Melissa Brown (Faculty)
A well done module on basic nutrition topics covering the macronutrients as well as specific information on glycemic index, dietary fiber and different types of fats. The addition of practical tips, information on popular diets and weight loss plans and the emphasis on the whole food when counselling a patient are positives. The information is presented in a simple and clear manner with a logical flow as the learner progresses through the module. It was very user friendly and easy to navigate. One confusion I have is who the actual target audience is? The initial listing is for college gen ed but once inside the module it appears to be for medical residents as well. The level of difficulty is ideal for the former but may be too simplistic for the latter.
