This site has a collection of over a hundred tutorials for creating animations
using Flash. The tutorials are well written and easy for a beginner to follow.
These would be useful supplements to a multimedia or web design class. The
only drawback is that there is so much additional information the user may be
distracted at first but once in the tutorial it is easy to following and
contains links to navigate through the tutorial and to return to home.
