GeneCards? is a database of human genes, their products and their involvement in diseases. It offers concise information about the functions of all human genes that have an approved symbol, as well as selected others. The GeneCards Encyclopedia integrates a subset of the information stored in major data sources dealing with human genes and their products (with a major focus on medical aspects). To facilitate access to this type of biomedical information, we continuously extract only those data that may be especially helpful for efficient navigation.
