Faculty at my college would benefit from a tutorial on Netscape Composer to
help
them maintain their Web sites. This tutorial looks helpful. There is a useful
selection of topics organized clearly -- Starting, Adding Text, Copying Clip
Art, Creating Links, etc. Information is presented simply and with effective
illustrations of appropriate dialog boxes, menus, buttons, etc. Actions are
clearly described. It might be helpful to also illustrate expected results so
users can confirm their actions. Unfortunately this would counteract the
simplicity of the tutorial. However, it might be useful to do occasionally --
as when dealing with tables.

Technical Remarks:

The selection of recommendations, e.g., "no spaces in file names", "text must
be highlighted to apply settings", "save the graphic in the same location as
your html page", is well-chosen. It has been my experience that these and
others included by the author are worthy of emphasis. I especially appreciate
the recommendation to copy a URL from the browser window when creating a link.
