This open textbook is being utilized in a Chemistry course for undergraduate or graduate students by Steven Runyon at California State University Maritime Academy. The open textbook provides information to support the course at no cost to students. The main motivation to adopt an open textbook was that this is a very specialized chemistry course for which no single textbook exists and available handbooks covering this specialty are extremely expensive. Most student access the open textbook in pdf format provided via the learning management system.
