Local anaesthetic toxicity

Local anaesthesia has been used by British podiatrists since the early 1960s. The use of local anaesthesia has allowed for the advancement of scope of practice and the development of podiatric surgery. Local anaesthesia is however associated with potential risks and adverse reactions including toxicity.
