Anaesthetic management of a patient with Eisenmenger syndrome for lower abdominal surgery

Eisenmenger syndrome is uncommon in patients with a secundum atrial septal defect (ASD). Rarely it may present in cardiac failure for non-cardiac surgery. A good understanding of pathophysiology of this syndrome is essential for anaesthetic management of such a case.
