When my college invited their teachers to write a textbook and publish as an Open Education Resource, I was excited to participate. I chose a beginner course aimed at students looking for employment. Workplace Skills Begin Here is a textbook for a non-credit, introductory course that I teach on Google Workspace for students with little, or no prior computer experience. We take the topics at a slow, steady pace working with Google's popular business applications: Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides. Questions for students to answer are located at the end of each chapter, as well as projects for a firsthand understanding.
