Typically, it is very rare for children to develop mesothelioma, as two-thirds of people who are diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma are 65 or older. Mesothelioma is so rare in children that the few cases that do exist are not even reported in the National Cancer Institute's Database. What makes this article stand out is it is very informative and includes different fun facts and talks about different clinical research that has been done worldwide and in history. Unfortunately, research is difficult with so few cases; however, further research could shed light on incidence, causes, and better treatments for children with this cancer.
