Figure 4 from Health Cost and Utilization Project Statistical Briefs, shows a bar graph on the distribution of clinical conditions associated with MRSA in California by type of MRSA(2013). The data is limited to the patient’s first MRSA hospital stay in 2013 and records with a valid present in the admission indicator. The bar chart shows three types of MRSA: hospital-acquired MRSA, healthcare acquired-MRSA, and community-acquired MRSA, along with the percentage of patients with any-listed MRSA. The listed MRSA infection types can be seen as septicemia, pneumonia, cellulitis and skin ulcers, complications of surgery or medical care and others. The main type for hospital-acquired can be seen as pneumonia while health care and community acquired are cellulitis and skin ulcers.
