REACH (Raising Environmental Awareness for Community Health) is a 5-week educational program for elementary and middle school students. The program teaches students about the ways the environment impacts human health, from the effects of air pollution on lung health to the effects of climate change on food availability. This website provides a complete 5-week lesson plan with corresponding slideshows, handouts, and videos. The weekly topics are as follows: 1) Biodiversity, 2) Energy, 3) Pollution, 4) Solar Oven Building, and 5) Final Review with Poster Presentation. Each lesson has interactive activities to keep students engaged and increase their enthusiasm for environmental health!
