Description:  Each student group will present an in-service to their peers in preparation for an individual in-service which is typically done when the student is on their clinical rotation. The educational topic must be related to content regarding physical therapy interventions BUT it cannot be something that has already been covered extensively in class. The topics are approved by the instructor, primarily to eliminate duplication/repetition. All learners are expected to attend each of the education presentations that will occur at the end of the semester. The presentation should last 20 minutes (so we have a few minutes for questions) and should include 1-2 active learning components. Health promotion/wellness topics are very appropriate for this assignment as are complementary and alternative medicine interventions, or rehab/surgical interventions not covered in class. The learner is expected to incorporate the principles for an effective presentation discussed throughout this course, in lectures and in other resources in the presentation.
