EDU 210: Curriculum in Early Education is a course offered at Holyoke Community College for students interested in teaching in the field of early childhood education. The course emphasizes how young children learn within a developmentally appropriate setting. Students use a Universal Design for Learning approach in designing a culturally responsive and inclusive curriculum in alignment with the Massachusetts Guidelines for Preschool and Kindergarten Learning Experiences and the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. This Open Educational Resource text was adapted from Introduction to Early Childhood Education from the College of the Canyons originally authored by Jennifer Paris, Kristin Beeve, & Clint Springer. This text is co-edited by Joan Giovannini, Charlene Cross, Alissa Finnerty, and Felicita Lopez.
