Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) in the state of Texas. She earned a Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). In addition to being a counselor, Nicole served as a Faculty Associate in the Rehabilitation Counseling Department at UTSW, facilitating group therapy and supervising graduate students. Nicole has over a decade of experience in the mental health industry.
The types of treatment Nicole can provide to individuals include anxiety, chronic illness, codependency issues, coping skills, depression, grief, life transition, medication management, mood disorder, peer relationships, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress management and women’s issues. She also specializes in working with relationship issues with couples and that includes, premarital, marital, divorce, coping skills, family conflict, grief, and parenting issues. Nicole enjoys working with adults and couples.
Nicole is trained in a variety of therapy approaches, including the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, and Psychodrama. In addition to her formal training, Nicole is Level II trained in Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT). PACT is a fusion of attachment theory, developmental neuroscience, and arousal regulation which effectively treats the most challenging couples. She has also studied psychodrama which allows the use of action methods, enriching her client’s experience and insights beyond traditional talk-therapy methods.
